A Lusk2020 Sports Committee delegation and Councillor Ken Farrell met with Paul Reid, CEO of Fingal County Council and his management team to discuss the future development of the Lusk Recreational Hub this week (18th September). This meeting was set up following several months of the Lusk Recreational Hub being highlighted at Council meetings, one of which being Septembers Fingal Council Meeting when it was listed as one of several key strategic priorities for the Council, covering the period 2017 – 2019 which will coincide with the mid Development Review in 2020.
The ‘Lusk Recreational Hub’ meeting obtained a commitment from Council officials to provide an action plan over the coming weeks for the ongoing development of the Hub, i.e. details of works required over the coming months including timelines of delivery. Key actions targeted before the year’s end include; installation of knee high railing around car park area, installation of perimeter dust path and pedestrian access from the recreational hub into the adjacent schools.
